"I came here craving Singaporean chicken rice, and it did not disappoint! The portion size was just right, and the flavors were spot on. Reservations are available, so if you’re coming with a large group, it’s best to book ahead. The sweet and sour pork was also delicious."

"Kaokee at Jupiter Street, Makati is a nice spot if you’re craving classic Singaporean comfort food. I had the Hokkien-style roast chicken set, which was flavorful and satisfying, and we also ordered an extra prawn kikiam, which paired well with the meal. The food felt hearty and familiar, the kind you’d enjoy for a relaxed lunch or dinner. The place itself is casual and straightforward, and service was smooth enough for a comfortable dining experience. Overall, a solid choice along Jupiter Street if you’re in the mood for no-frills, comforting Chinese-Singaporean dishes."

"Kaokee is a good place to eat. Too bad the claypot serving will take time, but it was that we were on a quick lunch. Ivan and Mhai have made the dining experience so great. We loved the food we ordered such as Sweet and Sour Pork, Hainanese Chicken, and Cold Teh!"

"Kaokee is a great place to eat if you’re looking for good food that isn’t too pricey. I really love their coffee, which is nicely brewed and comforting. Their soup is also very satisfying, especially when you want something warm and flavorful. One of my favorites is their chicken inasal — it’s juicy, well-seasoned, and grilled just right. Overall, it’s a simple and enjoyable spot where you can have a delicious meal without spending too much."

"Our dining experience at Kaokee was a delightful mix of hearty, comforting flavors and thoughtfully prepared Southeast Asian dishes, perfect for sharing with friends or family. The Prawn Kikiam was meaty and flavorful with a satisfying crisp skin, pairing well with its sweet-savory dipping sauce. The Golden Tofu was a pleasant surprise — lightly crisp on the outside and silky soft inside, subtly seasoned and great as a starter. Both the Chicken Claypot Rice and Beef Claypot Rice were cooked well, with the rice at the bottom forming that nice toasted layer that adds texture. The chicken version felt lighter and more aromatic, while the beef had a deeper soy-based richness. The Char Kway Teow had generous toppings of shrimp and sausage with that savory-sweet sauce typical of the dish, though it could benefit from a slightly stronger “wok hei” or smoky aroma. The Cereal Shrimp was one of the highlights — buttery, crisp, and fragrant from the curry leaves and cereal topping. The Crispy Fish Fillet with Mango Sauce offered a sweet-tangy balance that cuts through the richness of other dishes, while the Hokkien Chicken was nicely roasted with a flavorful skin and served with an array of sauces for dipping. The Patatim impressed with its fork-tender meat and glossy sauce that soaked beautifully into the vegetables. The Mushroom and Bok Choy in Black Bean Sauce added a deep, earthy umami contrast to the spread. The Shrimp Ball dish was another standout — golden, crunchy on the outside and bouncy within, with visible chunks of shrimp that gave a fresh, seafood sweetness. Lastly, the Prawn Braised Beehoon was comforting and well-balanced, with a rich, savory sauce coating the noodles evenly and generous pieces of plump shrimp. The crispy bits on top added a nice texture contrast, making it a dish that feels both indulgent and homey. Overall, Kaokee delivers dependable, well-portioned comfort food with Southeast Asian roots — a mix of familiar flavors executed with consistency, ideal for casual group dining."
